    A lovely spot with spacious rooms and cute hosts. The private thermal spa was the highlight, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Just a short stroll to the lake, but parking can be tricky for bigger vehicles. A good and relaxing getaway!

    We had a really good stay in a different town.

    We were in a particularly good and lovely location at a medium distance from Maori Rock Carvings. The hotel was placed within 10 km of the airport.

    Recently refurbished rooms and exceptionally nice location not far from the snow capped mountains, Lake Taupo and the snow capped mountains, and main attractions and city center. Excellent and efficient staff with great local knowledge.

    Kind of rude staff!

    from the moment i arrived, the welcoming atmosphere created by the owners, jodie and barry, made me feel right at home. the spacious and clean room featured a lovely view of the lake from the private balcony, which was a perfect spot to unwind. the thermal pool was a wonderful addition to my experience, allowing me to relax after a day of exploring.

    No traffic noise, but 😕 no on-site restaurant.

    We liked the atmosphere and staff. Amazing that anyone still uses the trust system for the bar! Felt very safe, at home and warm on a frosty night. Underfloor thermal heating was great! Recomendations for dining were spot on! Very clean, comfy bed, good tv with built in dvd player.

    Outdoor hot tub area could have done with a spruce up and clean the cobwebs off under the overhang above the hot tub. Spot light in courtyard at night very bright and could not be turned off from in our room, mood killer for a night time spa!

    I had an enjoyable stay with cute hosts who really cared about my experience. The room was clean and cozy, offering a lovely lake view. I loved the outdoor heated pool-what a great surprise! Just a minor hiccup with room availability, but overall, good vibes all around!

    The outside spa bath.

    The shower head in our unit required maintenance, it didn't provide enough water and was temperature was difficult to regulate.

    The Baycrest Thermal Lodge impressed. Spacious rooms offered fine views of the lake, perfect for morning coffee. The private thermal pool on the patio became our favorite relaxation spot after a day of exploring. The hosts were wonderfully accommodating, providing tips on local attractions and dining. Cleanliness was great, with fresh towels and quality toiletries readily available. Parking felt a bit tight at times was good. The distance to downtown was longer than expected for our evening strolls, which could be a consideration for some. A fantastic retreat that I would gladly return to.

    The pool and the private pool was nice. It was also very close to the township, so you can walk there instead of driving.

    Every other motel I have stayed in has provided a complimentary milk every day you stayed. We only recieved a single milk on the first day of arrival.

    would not hesitate to return there.

    Spacious family room with a super comfy king bed, kitchen amenities, and a huge bathroom with a spa bath. Loved the outdoor heated pool and the very nice views from the balcony over the lake. Staff were super nice and helpful. Clean and cozy all around!

    Lovely big bed, warm rooms, comfortable chairs, nice hot pool, good water pressure, good selction of complimentary tea and coffee. Helpful staff.

    Very difficult parking and this created a challenge getting in and out. There was also a dripping tap which was annoying.
